Making kava the old fashioned way in Vanuatu, where they drink the real stuff.

Along with my wife, Lani, I founded Context, organizer of tours for the intellectually curious, in the early 2000s. After growing the business over a decade we brought on a growth investor, moved into a director’s position, and set sail with our kids. We are currently living on a 50-foot catamaran in Southeast Asia with our three daughters—Stella (17), Cleo (16), and Jade (12). They run a fantastic blog and YouTube channel that is, frankly, much cooler than anything I produce.

This site is a place where I can share my thoughts about life and business as I sail around. Between dodging reefs and fixing broken bits on the boat, in addition to helping grow Context to its next stage I’m currently developing my next big idea and looking for opportunities.
